Job Purpose
Rite Foods Limited is offering a rare opportunity to join the organization as a Trainee Technical Operator.
This role provides 12 months of intensive training, combining classroom learning and hands-on practical experience. Trainees will work alongside experienced professionals to develop technical competence while earning a competitive salary.
Note: Trainees assigned to the Abuja Plant will undergo their first four (4) months of training at the Ogun State factory.
Key Responsibilities
- Inspect and ensure the proper functioning of machines and auxiliary equipment.
- Support machine operations in line with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and speed targets.
- Minimize material wastage to acceptable operational levels.
- Report malfunctions or operational constraints to the Technical Shift Supervisor.
- Use all provided personal protective equipment (PPE) and comply strictly with Health and Safety regulations.
- Perform routine maintenance according to approved checklists to ensure equipment reliability.
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness in personal appearance and immediate work areas in line with Good Housekeeping Practices.
- Prevent cross-contamination by ensuring production equipment remains hygienic.
- Clean auxiliary machines (e.g., mixers, UV cleaning equipment) before and after use.
- Carry out change-over activities according to the production schedule.
- Ensure compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), food safety standards, environmental regulations, and occupational health and safety requirements, maintaining zero lost-time incidents.
Qualification
- OND or equivalent qualification in Engineering or a related discipline.
