Role Overview

Invictus Africa is seeking detail-oriented and dependable Data Enumerators to support a nationwide survey assessing voter attitudes, past voting behaviour, and future voting intentions.

The study places special focus on women, youth, and persons with disabilities as political candidates and leaders in Nigeria.

Selected enumerators will collect, record, and verify high-quality data from both urban and rural communities using digital data-collection tools. Successful candidates must be available for the full duration of the assignment, including mandatory training and debriefing sessions.

  • Organization: Invictus Africa
  • Location: All 36 States of Nigeria & the FCT
  • Positions Available: 3 Enumerators per State (One per Senatorial District)
  • Duration: 10 Consecutive Working Days (Monday–Friday)

Key Responsibilities

  • Administer structured questionnaires using KoboCollect
  • Ensure completeness, accuracy, and internal consistency of collected data
  • Interpret survey questions in local dialects where necessary
  • Capture GPS coordinates and field activity photos
  • Obtain free and informed consent from all respondents
  • Submit daily field reports using the approved format
  • Uphold confidentiality, ethical standards, and Invictus Africa’s data protection principles
  • Adhere strictly to humanitarian principles, including Do No Harm

Expected Outputs

  • Minimum of 100 completed questionnaires (10 per day)
  • 10 daily field reports (one per day)

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Diploma or higher qualification in any discipline
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in field-based data collection or research
  • Demonstrated proficiency in digital data-collection platforms (especially KoboCollect)
  • Access to a functional smartphone or tablet compatible with KoboCollect
  • Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office tools
  • Familiarity with at least one senatorial district in the applicant’s state
  • Fluency in English and the dominant local language(s) of the selected senatorial district
  • Ability to meet daily targets and work under tight deadlines

Compensation

  • ₦10,000 per day for 10 days (₦100,000 total)
  • Covers fieldwork and local travel within the selected senatorial district

Payment is subject to:

  • Completion of assigned data-collection targets
  • Data quality verification by the MEL Lead

Payments will be processed through official organizational channels.

No advance payments will be made.
