YNAB is hiring a Security Engineer to help protect the trust millions of people place in our financial education platform. You’ll work hands-on with security tooling, architecture, monitoring, and incident response to keep YNAB secure.
What you’ll do
- Implement and maintain security controls, tooling, and monitoring
- Partner with engineers on secure design, code reviews, and threat modeling
- Monitor security events, investigate threats, and support incident response

What we’re looking for
- 2+ years in security engineering, software engineering, DevOps, or IT security
- Practical application security experience (reviews, threat modeling, SAST/DAST)
- Experience with security logging/monitoring tools (e.g., Datadog, Splunk, ELK)
