Attain Finance is looking for a Database Reliability Engineer to own the reliability, performance, monitoring, and security of our production databases. With 50+ years in consumer finance across the U.S. and Canada, we’re modernizing our data platform and scaling real-time systems.
What you’ll do
- Manage and optimize databases across AWS RDS, Aurora (Postgres/MySQL), PostgreSQL, and SQL Server
- Ensure high availability, performance tuning, monitoring, backups, and disaster recovery
- Lead production incident response, RCA, and long-term reliability improvements
- Strengthen database security, access governance, and compliance
- Collaborate with Data Engineering on modern pipelines and real-time ingestion

Automate operations and improve observability and documentation
What we’re looking for
- Experience in database/reliability engineering
- Strong experience with AWS databases, Postgres, and SQL Server
- Deep knowledge of performance tuning, HA/DR, backups, and monitoring
- Experience supporting mission-critical production systems

Salary & Benefits
- $90,000–$110,000 USD base salary
