Applications are open for the African Liberty Writing Fellowship 2026. The fellowship is a 12-month program designed to identify, train, and amplify emerging African writers who are passionate about advancing the ideas of freedom, individual rights, and limited government.
Accepted applicants will complete a 5-week mandatory online training. The top candidates from the 5-week training will be admitted as African Liberty writing fellows.
The 5-week training runs from 25 May 2026 to 22 June 2026. The writing fellowship starts on 13 July 2026, and ends on 13 July 2027.

Eligibility
- An applicant has to be enrolled in, or must have graduated from, an African institution of higher learning or, be an African pursuing higher education outside the continent.
- Applicants must be available to participate in all of the program.
