AfriGirl Scholars Program 2026 for Young Nigerian Girls
The AfriGirl Scholars Program is an education access and mentorship initiative of The Girl Essence Mentorship and Advocacy Initiative.
The program is designed to support academically qualified girls who graduated from public secondary schools in Enugu State but are unable to proceed to higher education due to financial constraints.

Criteria for the AfriGirl Scholars Program 2026
- Be a female of Nigerian origin
- Must be between 16 and 24 years old.
- Graduated from a secondary school in Enugu State within the last three years
- Have at least six (6) credits in WAEC or NECO, including English Language and Mathematics
- Demonstrate financial hardship and strong motivation for higher education
- Must be willing to participate in mentorship activities.
Benefits
- Through this program, selected candidates will receive sponsorship for JAMB and Post-UTME examinations, access to an exclusive pre-university mentorship program, and the opportunity to be considered for scholarships into state or federal universities
