Zuri Team is Hiring for Part-time PhP and WordPress Developer

Do you want to be involved with supporting students on their educational journey and expanding technical training at a global scale?

Are you a junior PHP or WordPress developer looking for a place to grow with lots of projects?

In this role, you will be a part of the team developing both customer-facing tools and our internal tools to ensure a smooth and successful learning experience for our students.

While working remotely, you’ll collaborate with coordinators, developers, and other staff to keep everything running efficiently.

You’ll report to the technical director.

Responsibilities:

WordPress:

  • Maintain our WordPress product page: https://products.zuri.team
  • Implement new features on the website
  • Provide support to program coordinators as needed
  • Provide technical support to students
  • Other tasks as assigned by the technical director
  • Work with the head of product and designs to upload needed designs and implement pages

PHP:

  • Maintain and update internal PHP Applications
  • Create new applications as assigned
  • Work on external services to integrate with WordPress REST API
  • Other tasks as assigned by the technical director

Communication and Collaboration:

  • Communicate effectively with coordinators, the head of product & design and other members of the team.
  • Maintain clear and accurate project documentation.

Remote Work:

  • Effectively manage time and workload in a remote work environment.
  • Utilise technology efficiently for communication and collaboration.
  • Maintain a professional work ethic and clear communication despite the remote setting.

Qualifications:

  • Able to work a minimum of 4 hours daily, Monday to Friday.
  • Access to a personal computer with an Internet connection
  • 0.5 – 1 year experience with PHP / OOP (required)
  • 0 – 1 year experience with Laravel (optional)
  • 0.5 – 2 years experience with WordPress (required)
  • 0 – 1 years experience with HTML and CSS (required)
  • 0 – 1 years experience with JavaScript (optional)
  • Experience working in a remote work environment is a plus
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills.
  • Strong ability to prioritise tasks, manage deadlines, and meet commitments.
  • NYSC, Final year students, Industrial experience students, and students on Internship are welcome to apply

Payment:

  • Pay during the part-time phase: (4 hours daily, Monday to Friday): ₦50,000 / month
  • Pay if offered a full-time position: ₦100,000/month.
  • Salary review happens every six months.
