WWF Food Systems Fellowship 2024-2025 | up to $30,000

Applications are now open for the WWF Food Systems Fellowship 2024-2025, part of WWF’s Russell E. Train Education for Nature Program (EFN).

This fellowship is designed for passionate individuals—whether you’re a researcher, practitioner, or leader—looking to deepen your knowledge and drive change in food systems. The program supports both master’s and PhD students who want to focus on innovative, interdisciplinary research to better understand how food systems can transform at a national level.

While there’s global recognition of the need for food system transformation, less attention has been placed on how these changes can unfold within individual countries.

The fellowship aims to bridge this gap by encouraging research that’s deeply rooted in the unique challenges and opportunities faced by national food systems.

As a fellow, you’ll not only receive financial support for your research but also join an inspiring network of EFN alumni from around the world, fostering knowledge exchange and collective growth.

Benefits:

  • Fellows can request up to $30,000 per year for up to two years, depending on the scope and needs of their research.
  • Opportunities to connect with a global community of environmental leaders.

Eligibility:

  • Open to nationals from WWF-US priority countries who are already enrolled, or plan to enroll, in a master’s or PhD program.
  • Eligible countries include: Belize, Bhutan, Bolivia, Brazil, Cambodia, Cameroon, Chile, Colombia, Indonesia, Kenya, Madagascar, Mozambique, Nepal, Peru, Tanzania, Uganda, Vietnam, Zambia, and many more.

Application Details:

  • Deadline: December 18, 2024, by 11:59 PM US Eastern Time.
  • Successful applicants will be notified by June 2025.

This fellowship is an incredible opportunity for future leaders dedicated to shaping sustainable food systems in their countries, with the support and resources to make a meaningful impact.
