About the role
Job Location: Remote
Job type: Full Time
As an early member of the data team, you’ll serve as a model for excellence in data-driven decision making. You’ll help shape data processes and values as the team expands.
As part of a small and fast-paced team, you’ll have the opportunity to grow and develop rapidly. You’ll demonstrate our team values and principles.
In this role, you will be instrumental in providing behavioral and growth analytics insights by combining your knowledge of the modern data stack with a deep understanding of the product value proposition.
Your expertise in data analysis, advanced visualization, custom attribution modeling, and event tracking will be essential in enhancing our business strategies.
This role will report directly to the Head of Product and Growth and will be responsible for data insights across the organization.
What you’ll do
- Own the data narrative: As the vital link across key growth areas in the business, you will synthesize insights from product, sales, marketing, and finance to articulate a data-driven explanation about what’s happening in the business and why. Using this knowledge, you’ll formulate frameworks and identify opportunities to help us operate more effectively.
- Employ the modern data stack: Leverage your proficiency with dbt, Snowflake, Mode, Stitch, SQL, and Python to transform raw data into actionable insights and build data models to support reporting and analytics requirements.
- Engage with multiple stakeholders: You will collaborate with teams across the organization, including Finance, Marketing, Customer Success, Sales, Engineering, and Product, understand their data needs, provide insights, and assist in making data-driven decisions.
- Analyze SaaS metrics: Utilize a strong background in SaaS metrics by tracking and analyzing key performance indicators (KPIs) such as daily active users, annual recurring revenue (ARR), and cohorted retention rates.
- Inform account-based strategies: You will work closely with our Account Management and Sales teams to identify product qualified leads (PQLs) and account health metrics. You will refine these metrics as needed in order to ensure these quantitative definitions are actionable and produce results.
- Analyze key marketing metrics: You will monitor and explain fluctuations in marketing performance. You’ve supported data needs across multiple marketing channels in your previous roles, such as email, social, and paid ads. Your familiarity with third party marketing tools and APIs enables you to easily derive insights and troubleshoot discrepancies across business-user reporting and data warehouse models.
- A/B Testing: Collaborate on the framework for A/B testing experiments, report on test outcomes, and provide recommendations based on test results.
- Event Tracking: Define and implement event tracking mechanisms to capture user behaviors and interactions.
