AIIDEV Africa has launched the 2025 cohort of the Teach4SDGs program, which aims to promote sustainable development and educate future generations about the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
The Teach4SDGs program is an initiative that aims to provide primary and secondary school teachers in Africa with the knowledge, skills, and values required to take transformative actions toward sustainable development.
Teach4SDGs aligns with SDG Target 4.7 by incorporating Education for Sustainable Development (ESD) into teaching practices, which aims to ensure that all learners have the necessary skills to promote sustainable development by 2030.
Teach4SDGs aims to increase the knowledge and competency of K-12 educators in delivering transformative SDG-based education in Africa.
The program aims to provide teachers with the knowledge, skills, and resources needed to effectively teach their students about the SDGs, and support the integration of the SDGs into the existing curriculum, thus impacting the behavior and social-emotional well-being of individual learners and the wider society.
We believe through this transformative program, educators would become mentors who guide learners through the lifelong learning process, as well as expert builders and transmitters of knowledge for a sustainable future.
