New York Times Fellowship Program 2025

The New York Times Fellowship Program is aimed at providing more in-depth training, valuable newsroom experience, and lasting connections within the industry.

The New York Times Fellowship is a yearlong program aimed at nurturing emerging journalists who are early in their careers.

Established in 2019, it replaced traditional summer internships, providing more in-depth training, valuable newsroom experience, and lasting connections within the industry.

The program offers a supportive environment for participants to develop their journalism skills, gain mentorship from editors, and collaborate with some of the industry’s top professionals.

Through this fellowship, The New York Times seeks to cultivate a diverse group of talented journalists who are passionate about impactful reporting.
