The newly established Actionable Conputational Terrestrial Hydrology Lab, (a.c.t. hydro lab, led by Dr. Yifan Cheng) at the Department of Geology at the State University of New York is delighted to invite applications for multiple motivated students pursuing Ph.D. or M.S. degrees in Geological Sciences, specializing in computational hydrology.

In a.c.t. hydro lab develop novel numerical modeling methods to better assess the resilience of water-related sectors under climate change, with a special interest in cold regions.

The laboratory collaborates with social scientists, and experts from water-related sectors such as power, ecosystems, as well as local communities to enhance the salience, tangibility, and usability of our data and model products.
