Role Description
- This is a volunteer remote role at VOICE TO THE STREET.
- As an IT instructor for street children training with VTS, your role will be pivotal in empowering marginalized youth by equipping them with essential IT skills.
- Your responsibilities will focus on providing education, mentorship, and support tailored to the needs of street children.

Responsibilities
- Design and develop a curriculum that is accessible and relevant to the needs of street children, focusing on foundational IT skills.
- Incorporate both theoretical and practical aspects to ensure holistic learning.
- Create lesson plans, educational materials, and interactive activities that cater to different learning styles and levels of understanding.
- Conduct IT training sessions and workshops, using engaging and age-appropriate teaching methods to maintain interest and motivation.
- Provide hands-on training in computer use, typing, internet safety, and basic software programs such as word processors, spreadsheets, and presentation tools.
- Use simple language and real-life examples to make complex IT concepts understandable for street children.
- Collaborate with other instructors, social workers, and NGO staff to integrate IT training with other educational and social programs.
- Communicate regularly with NGO management, providing updates on the program’s progress and suggesting improvements.
- Network with external organizations, volunteers, and donors to enhance the IT training program’s resources and outreach.
- Stay updated with the latest developments in IT education and training methodologies to continually improve teaching effectiveness.
- Attend workshops, seminars, and training sessions as required to enhance personal IT skills and teaching abilities.
- Share knowledge and best practices with colleagues to contribute to the overall success of the NGO’s mission.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in IT or Related Field
- Certification in Information Technology and E-Learning skills
- Experience in training and teaching
- Proficiency in basic IT skills, software and digital literacy tools
- Passion for making a positive impact on underprivileged communities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience in working with children or youth is a plus
- Ability to work independently and remotely.
