Dangote Cement Opens Applications for HEMM Operators Training Programme in Nigeria

Dangote Cement Plc has officially opened applications for its HEMM Operators Training Programme, designed to train and develop skilled operators for mining operations across Nigeria.

Location: Obajana Cement Plant, Obajana, Kogi State, Nigeria

About the Programme

The HEMM (Heavy Earth Moving Machinery) Operators Training Programme is a structured 6-month training that combines both theoretical knowledge and hands-on practical experience.

Participants will go through:

  • Behavioural screening
  • Safety training
  • Classroom learning
  • Equipment simulations
  • Technical workshops
  • Intensive field practice

The goal is to equip candidates with the skills and experience needed to operate heavy-duty mining equipment safely and efficiently.

Eligibility Requirements

To qualify, applicants must:

  • Have at least five (5) credit passes, including English and Mathematics (WAEC/NECO)
  • Be a graduate of a technical college (NTC, NABTEB, or Trade Test I, II, III)
  • Be between 22 and 35 years old
  • Possess a valid means of identification
  • Be physically and mentally fit
  • Demonstrate discipline and strong safety awareness
  • Be willing to undergo intensive training and assessments

Previous experience in mining or equipment operation is an added advantage, but not required.
