Hibachi is hiring a Production Engineer to join its Engineering team. This is a remote role open to candidates worldwide, offering the opportunity to work on high-performance infrastructure powering next-generation global currency markets.
Role Overview:
The Production Engineer will monitor and support live production systems, respond to alerts, investigate incidents, and improve system observability and operational tooling to ensure reliable trading infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities:
- Respond to and investigate production alerts and incidents.
- Trace issues across logs, databases, and codebases to identify root causes.
- Write incident summaries and maintain operational runbooks.
- Improve monitoring dashboards and system observability.

Build tools and automation to streamline operational processes.
Requirements:
- Experience supporting live production systems.
- Ability to read codebases and write database queries for debugging.
- Familiarity with monitoring tools such as Datadog, Grafana, or CloudWatch.
- Strong written communication and documentation skills.

Comfortable with on-call responsibilities.
Preferred:
Experience in fintech or trading systems, knowledge of Web3 or blockchain infrastructure, AWS experience, and exposure to SRE practices.
