Cryptography at Nethermind

 

Nethermind is seeking a highly analytical, security-focused Zero Knowledge/Cryptography Auditor to rigorously evaluate the correctness, soundness, and security of advanced cryptographic and ZK systems powering decentralized protocols.

What you’ll do

  • Audit cryptographic protocols, ZK proof systems, zkDSL circuits, and zkVM programs
  • Identify vulnerabilities, privacy leaks, and soundness issues in production systems
  • Collaborate closely with security engineers and researchers across Ethereum and L2 ecosystems
  • Design and improve internal security and auditing tools
  • Clearly communicate findings to clients and internal teams

What we’re looking for

  • 1+ year experience auditing cryptography or zero-knowledge systems
  • Strong theoretical and practical cryptography foundation
  • Hands-on experience with ZK systems (e.g. Groth16, PLONK, Halo2, Bulletproofs)
  • Proficiency in Rust; experience auditing Rust codebases preferred
  • Familiarity with zkDSLs (Circom, Noir, Cairo, Halo2, etc.) and zkVM architectures
  • Clear, confident written and verbal communication skills
