Seplat Energy Applied Technology Training Programme (ATTP) for Young Nigerian Graduates

The Seplat Energy Producing Nigeria Unlimited Applied Technology Training Program (ATTP) is a City & Guilds–approved foundation-level training programme designed to equip young Nigerians with the technical knowledge and practical skills required to work as entry-level technicians in the oil and gas industry.

Our Legacy

This prestigious programme has been in existence since 1995, originally delivered by Mobil Producing Nigeria Unlimited (MPNU).

It is now administered by Seplat Energy Producing Nigeria Unlimited (SEPNU), the operator of a Joint Venture with the Federal Government of Nigeria through the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation Limited (NNPCL).

Over the years, the ATTP has produced highly skilled technical professionals who contribute meaningfully to Nigeria’s energy sector.

Training & Certification

The SEPNU ATTP runs for approximately 23 months at the Seplat Energy Technical Training Centre (TTC), Eket.

Upon successful completion, participants will receive:

• A SEPNU Certificate of Completion
• A City & Guilds Certificate in Applied Engineering Technology (in the relevant discipline)

The programme offers hands-on, industry-focused training delivered by experienced professionals within a world-class organization. Trainees are mentored to think independently, develop their full potential, and contribute to shaping the future of energy in Nigeria.

Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must meet all of the following requirements:

1. Must be a Nigerian citizen
2. Must possess a National Diploma (ND) in any of the following disciplines:
   • Chemical Engineering Technology
   • Electrical / Electronic Engineering Technology
   • Mechanical Engineering Technology
   • Petroleum Engineering Technology
3. Must have graduated with a minimum of Upper Credit, obtained not earlier than 2023
4. Applicants with higher qualifications will not be considered
5. Must possess a valid government-issued identification, such as:

• National ID Card
• Voter’s Card
• Valid Driver’s License
• International Passport
