Research Explorer Ruhr (RER) is a program for international early postdoctoral researchers (to-be) interested in exploring the research landscape of the University Alliance Ruhr.
The Ruhr Summer Program is Taking Place from 22nd June to 5th July 2025 in the Rur Area. The objective of the program is to explore the Research landscape in the Ruhr area, meet with your host researcher, explore the labs and research facilities, and then come back for a Longer Post Doc Stay.
The Two Weeks Summer Program is Funded by the Research Academy Ruhr in Germany.

Eligibility Criterias for the 2025 RER Summer Program
- Candidates from all around the world are eligible to apply.
- The program is conducted entirely in English.
- The Summer Program is open to Final-stage doctoral candidates and early-career postdocs (within one year of their degree).
- International doctoral researchers who have submitted their thesis and recent international postdocs are invited to apply.
