2025 European Union Traineeship Program in Qatar
Are you a young graduate interested in international relations? Are you curious to learn more about work of a diplomatic mission and how the EU Delegation represents EU interests and values in Qatar?
The traineeship will be based in the Political, Press and Information Section. It will contribute to the Delegation’s work on EU – Qatar relations in the respective thematic field.
The trainee will also work together with colleagues in the other Sections of the EU Delegation, as relevant and appropriate.
The Political, Press and Information section is responsible for political analysis and reporting, relations in this field with the Qatari interlocutors, coordination with EU Member States and organisation of public events.
It also covers press and information activities, including substantial cultural diplomacy.
There is a growing cooperation with Qatar in different sectors, and this includes political as well as press and information aspects.
There is a considerable number of events either hosted by the EU Delegation, or in which we participate.

Eligibility Criterias for the 2025 European Union Traineeship Program
To be considered for the European Union Traineeship, you must have:
- At least a Bachelor degree of relevance to the field of work, e.g. international relations, political science, law, communications, journalism or similar degree.
- Excellent spoken and written English, French and Arabic an advantage.
- Excellent analytical and drafting skills; and good IT skills essential.
- Knowledge of Qatari politics an advantage.
Perks of the 2025 European Union Traineeship Program
- Each selected trainee will receive a monthly grant to cover living expenses.
- On average, trainees can expect to receive approximately €800 per month.
- This financial support is designed to help cover living expenses during the traineeship.
- The European Union traineeship is to be held for up to 6 months within the Political, Press, and Information Section of the EU Delegation to the Republic of Qatar in October 2025.

- a cover letter describing why you want to participate in a EU traineeship
